Dr. Haroon Ahmad

Dr. Ahmad joined Neurological Medicine, P.A. in 2026.
He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). He has subspecialty training in cancer-related neurology, with board certification from the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS).
He graduated from the University of Virginia, School of Medicine, and completed neurology residency at the Rutgers-RWJ School of Medicine where he served as chief resident. He then completed a neuro-oncology fellowship at the University of Virginia.
He served as assistant professor at the University of Maryland, neurology department where he treated patients with neurologic complications of cancer, brain tumors, and general neurology. He also conducted clinical trials and research in brain tumor management.
He has published over 30 peer-reviewed papers, abstracts, and chapters in the fields of neurology and cancer. He is a recipient of Baltimore Magazine “Top Doc” award. He is an active member in the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and Society of Neuro-Oncology (SNO).
